Installing an EASG site certificate

Last Updated : Dec 09, 2021 |

About this task

Install an EASG site certificate so that on-site technicians can perform maintenance tasks through EASG when they do not have access to the Avaya network.

You can also run maintenance commands on the Configuration Server console.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that EASG is enabled. For more information about viewing the EASG status, see the post-installation verification section in Deploying Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity.

  • Obtain the site certificate from the Avaya personnel.

  • Upload the site certificate to the Configuration Server.

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Open the console on the active Configuration Server.

    • Use the SSH client to log in to the active Configuration Server.

  2. Run the following command:

    sudo EASGSiteCertManage --add <site_cert_filepath>

<site_cert_filepath> is the full path to the EASG site certificate.

  3. To install the site certificate into your local repository, enter yes.
  4. When prompted, enter the site authentication factor.

You can type a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 alphanumeric characters.

  5. Re-enter the site authentication factor.
  6. Provide the site authentication factor to the Avaya on-site technician.
