You can create a backup file of the Configuration Server databases and restore the server data from a backup file. The mtc backup server command creates a backup archive in a specified folder on the Configuration Server or on a remote server. Perform the server backup regularly to secure your contact center data.
The backup file is an encrypted .zip archive that contains the following database files:
You can create an AE Services database backup file on the AE Services management console. For more information about AE Services backup, see the backup and restore section in Administering Application Enablement Services for Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity.
You can perform server backup if the backup directory has enough space. If the used storage space on the Configuration Server exceeds 95%, you cannot run the backup command.
Before restoring the databases from a backup file, you must ensure that it contains all the required files. The Maintenance Shell replaces all files in the server database with the files from the backup archive. You cannot revert the restore procedure.
You can restore backup files that you create on an older system version. For example, you can create a backup file on the version 10.0 and restore it on the version 10.1.
