Upgrade overview

You can upgrade the Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity components using the Deployment Manager. You can upgrade the following Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity components:

  • Enhanced Access Security Gateway (EASG)

  • noVNC client application

  • Configuration Server

  • Configuration Server web portal

  • Routing Core Server

  • Oversight

  • AE Services server

Before executing the upgrade command, you must download the upgrade archive from PLDS, copy the archive to your working directory, decrypt and unpack the upgrade files. You can also update the deployment environment variables in the .dm_vars file and mega-config.yml configuration file.

If you upgrade the contact center using the Deployment Manager commands, you reinstall all the components at the same time which causes the contact center service interruption. To upgrade the contact center without downtime, use the rolling upgrade feature.

Before you upgrade your contact center, ensure that you configured coverage points for all existing coverage paths.
