Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity supports disk encryption. Disk encryption uses encryption algorithms to convert disk data into an unreadable format that unauthorized users cannot access. You must enter a correct encryption key or password to access an encrypted disk. When the disk drive boots up, the files on the encrypted disk become available to the server operating system and applications.
Disk encryption prevents unauthorized access to the data in the following cases:
The hard disk is lost or stolen.
The hard disk location is not accessible to unauthorized users.
The hard disk is installed on a different computer or server.
The hard disk is discarded after reaching the end of service.
