You can upgrade your contact center servers without service interruption. During the rolling upgrade, the contact center first upgrades the alternative Routing Core Server. The contact center triggers a failover from the active Routing Core Server to the upgraded alternative server and then upgrades the active server. After the Deployment Manager upgrades all contact center components, the active Routing Core Server synchronizes with the alternative server. The contact center does not drop the active calls during the upgrade process.
You can use rolling upgrade to upgrade the Routing Core Server instances. You can use the Deployment Manager commands to upgrade other components.
Before the upgrade, download the upgrade archive from PLDS, copy the archive to your working directory, and decrypt and unpack the upgrade files. You must also update the all environment file and mega-config.yml configuration file with your contact center IP addresses.
