Avaya Spaces Calling Gateway Maintenance mode is intended for use when you perform procedures that involve shutting down or restarting Avaya Aura® Web Gateway nodes, such as upgrading Avaya Aura® Web Gateway. When in Maintenance mode, some of the Avaya Spaces Calling Gateway features are disabled to ensure safety of the procedures.
The following features are unavailable in Maintenance mode:
Failover and failback operations for Avaya Spaces users registered on Avaya Aura® Web Gateway.
By default, Avaya Aura® Web Gateway moves users registered on a node to other nodes if the node is down. However, In Maintenance mode, Avaya Aura® Web Gateway does not move users to other nodes when you restart or shut down a node.
Opting in Avaya Spaces users on Avaya Aura® Web Gateway from the Avaya Spaces Admin area.
If the Avaya Spaces administrator tries to opt-in a user, Avaya Spaces informs the administrator that the opt-in functionality is unavailable because Avaya Spaces Calling Gateway is in Maintenance mode.
Performing new calls using Avaya Spaces Calling.
Updating the user status using the Refresh status button from the Avaya Spaces Admin area.
The following features remain available in Maintenance mode:
Completing the ongoing calls.
Avaya Aura® Web Gateway does not drop any ongoing calls established before you enable Maintenance mode. However, some mid-call operations might be unavailable when in Maintenance mode.
Opting out Avaya Spaces users from the Avaya Spaces Admin area.
Important:
Maintenance mode is intended for cluster Avaya Aura® Web Gateway deployments. Do not use Maintenance mode if you have a standalone deployment.
