Perform the tasks in this checklist to upgrade Avaya Aura® Web Gateway within Release 10.2.x. This checklist applies both to OVA-based and to software-only deployment types.

Important:

Do not use this checklist to upgrade from Release 3.11 to R10.2.x. To upgrade from Release 3.11 to R10.2.x, you must use the migration procedures as described in Migrating Avaya Aura Web Gateway.

Back up Avaya Aura® Web Gateway.

Update the system layer, if required.

For OVA-based deployments, see the procedures in Checklist for updating the system layer.

For software-only deployments, see Updating the system layer for software-only deployments.

In a cluster environment, update the system layer on all cluster nodes before upgrading the application layer.
