Use the following procedure to upgrade the Avaya Solutions Platform from Release 4.0 (ESXi 6.5, Update3) to Release 5.0 (ESXi 7.0, Update2).
Procedure
Take the backup of your Avaya Aura® Device Services and keep it on remote servers.
Log in to the application through vSphere Web Client, select and right-click the Avaya Aura® Device Services application, and then click Power > Power Off.
Upgrade Avaya Solutions Platform from Release 4.0 to 5.0.

If the Avaya Solutions Platform upgrade is successful, power on the Avaya Aura® Device Services application and ensure the applications are up and running.
If the Avaya Solutions Platform upgrade failed, then:
Do the fresh deployment of Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Release 5.0. For information about installing Avaya Solutions Platform, see Installing the Avaya Solutions Platform 130 Series.
Deploy the application at the same version that was before the Avaya Solutions Platform upgrade. For information about deploying the application, see the application-specific deployment document.
If the Avaya Aura® Device Services applications are not up and running:
Do the fresh deployment of the application at the same version that was before the Avaya Solutions Platform upgrade.
