Facility rejected/ Special intercept announcement undefined code (NI-1: National ISDN 1)

Cause

The call cannot be completed because the ISDN network does not support or is not subscribed to the network service or feature requested by this call.

This cause value has end-to-end significance. Communication Manager returns this cause value to the user who has originated the call.

Proposed Solution

Procedure

  1. Check the diagnostic information (DIAG) for the facility identifier of the service that was rejected. See Event data 2.
  2. Check Communication Manager administration for the cause value generated by the network.
    1. Route pattern: The service or feature field contains an incorrect value for this route preference. The ITC/BCIE fields indicate incorrect information for a data call.
  3. Check administration for the cause value generated by Communication Manager.
    1. Trunk group form: The Service type field indicates a static service type when the network sends NSF information. Change the field to indicate CBC service.
