Use between in the following ways:
To compare two or more items
To denote a one-to-one relationship
To indicate a period of time or some other range
To describe a position or spatial relationship
Use among when the emphasis is on undefined or non-specific relationships. Among is often used for items that are viewed as a group or to indicate belonging to a group.
