Using slashes with file names and paths

Last Updated : Jul 23, 2013 |

Use slashes to separate the elements of file names and paths.

Examples

The process runs from the /usr/openlink/bin directory.

For your user name, type your domain and handle separated by a backward slash (\). For example, type global\j.smith.

Note:

If necessary, use the terms forward slash (/) and backward slash (\) to differentiate between the slashes.
