Commas between adjectives

Last Updated : Jul 31, 2013 |

When you use two adjectives of equal weight to modify a noun, use a comma between the two adjectives.

Tip:

If you can change the order of the adjectives without changing the meaning of the sentence, the adjectives are of equal weight and a comma is required.

Examples

Clean the fan with water and a soft, dry cloth.

You must record one greeting for TTY users and a second, different greeting for non-TTY users.
