Indexing nouns

Last Updated : Nov 28, 2024 |

Where possible, use the plural form of nouns in your index. If the plural is not applicable or is misleading, you must use the singular form. In the examples in this section, the comma represents the second index level.

When to use the singular form

Use the singular form to refer to a unique entity. For example, if there is only one administration portal, do not use plural for it. Similarly, if you can only delete one user at a time, it is misleading to use the plural users.
