Add prerequisites (Before you begin) if relevant for the procedure. For example, if configuration is required before the user can perform the procedure, specify this in the prerequisites.

Only include prerequisites that are useful for your audience. Do not write obvious or self-evident prerequisites. For example, you must log in to an application before you can use it. Therefore, do not add logging in as a prerequisite in every procedure.

Do not provide detailed steps or instructions in the prerequisites. Write the prerequisite at a high-level. You can add a link to the relevant procedure.
