For upgrading from Microsoft federation deployment Release 7.0.x, 7.1.x, or 8.0 to Release 8.0.1 or later, note the following:
Presence Services configuration attributes earlier in the S4B Federation group are replaced with a new Microsoft Federation group. You must manually migrate to the new Microsoft Federation group in release 8.0.1 or later.
The AMM federation relay is no longer required or supported for intra-enterprise federation.
Intra-enterprise federation between two different domains is now supported. This federation works directly with the Microsoft Front End server rather than the Microsoft Edge server, as in previous 7.0.x and 7.1.x releases.
Inter-enterprise federation between two different domains requires edge of the Avaya Aura® network.
