Configuring offline IM storage

Avaya recommends that you set the Offline IM Storage Enabled attribute to False when Presence Services is deployed in an Avaya Workplace Client environment. By default, Presence Services provides offline IM storage support for Avaya Workplace Client clients.

  1. On the System Manager web console, navigate to ElementsAvaya Breeze®Configuration.
  2. Click Attributes.
  3. On the Service Clusters tab, in the Cluster field, click the Presence Services cluster.
  4. In the Service field, click the Presence Services service.
  5. On the Attributes Configuration page, navigate to the Messaging (XMPP) group.
  6. In Effective Value, do the following:
    1. In the Offline IM Storage Enabled field, click True to enable Offline IM Storage.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      The default is True.
    2. In the Offline IM Storage Targeted Maximum IMs Per User field, type the maximum number of offline IMs stored per user.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      The default is 25 IMs.
  7. To override the default value, select the Override Default check box.
  8. Click Commit.
