Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols provide communications security over a computer network. Use the following procedure to enable an SSL secure communication on different web browsers.
Log on to Windows as administrator.
Click StartWindows Administrative ToolsInternet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
In the navigation pane, click the Omnichannel Database server node.
Expand the Sites folder and select Default Web Site.
Select Bindings from the Actions menu on the right side of the screen.
STEP RESULT:
The system displays the Site Bindings screen.
Click Add.
STEP RESULT:
The system displays the Add Site Binding screen.
Administer the following parameters:
Set Type to https.
Set IP address to All Unassigned.
Set Port to 443.
Leave Host name blank.
In the SSL certificate field, click Select to browse to the signed certificate you requested from the CA.
Click OK.
STEP RESULT:
The system displays the Site Bindings screen showing the HTTPS type.
Click Close.
On the Default Web Site Home page, double-click the SSL Settings option.
STEP RESULT:
The system displays the SSL Settings screen.
Select the Require SSL option.
Select Apply from the Actions menu on the right side of the screen.
