Remote workers connect to the Avaya Oceana® contact center similar to how they connect within the enterprise. They access Avaya Workspaces and Avaya Analytics™ clients. Remote workers potentially access admin clients for both of these applications.
Remote workers do not need to log in to an Enterprise VPN to access the Avaya Oceana® and Avaya Analytics™ applications.

Example of remote workers accessing Avaya Workspaces and Avaya Analytics™

A remote worker opens a supported browser and accesses the URL for Avaya Workspaces and Avaya Analytics™.
For example, https://<AvayaOceanaCluster FQDN Mapped with both IP addresses>/services/UnifiedAgentController/workspaces/#/login.
Based on the externally published FQDNs, the FQDN is resolved to the external firewall IP address and the request is directed to the external firewall. Functions of the external firewall are:
  • External firewall allows the requests from remote workers through to the reverse proxy.
  • Reverse proxy already has the configuration information set up to allow the requests to be processed securely. After checking the validity of the requests, the requests are forwarded to an internal IP address and port destination on the internal firewall.
  • For any Avaya Oceana® and Avaya Analytics™ solution, the reverse proxy has NAT entries for the different Avaya Oceana® and Avaya Analytics™ servers.
