Configuring Cache Mirroring on the active Omnichannel Database server

Keywords:
Nominate one of the Omnichannel servers to be the active server. If your solution has only one Omnichannel server, then that server is considered as the active server. Take a Cache data backup on the active server and later restore the Cache data on the standby server.
Before you begin
Retrieve the necessary certificate files from Retrieve certificate files section if using SSL.
  1. Start the Windows Services application by doing the following:
    1. Click StartRun.
    2. In the Run dialog box, type services.msc.
    3. Click OK.
  2. In the Services window, do the following:
    1. Right-click ISCAgent service and select Start.
    2. Double-click the ISCAgent service.
    3. Click the General tab.
    4. In the Startup type field, select Automatic.
    5. Click the Recovery tab.
    6. In the First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent failures fields, select the Restart the Service option.
    7. In the Reset fail count after field, type 120.
    8. In the Restart service after field, type 0.
    9. Click Apply.
    10. Click OK.
  3. Navigate to the OCEANA_INSTALL_DIR\Avaya\Oceana\MMDataManagement folder.
  4. Right-click the OceanaDataManagementTool.exe file and click Run as administrator.
  5. Navigate to Configuration Mirror Settings Create Mirror.
  6. Enter the details for the attribute Arbiter address, Virtual IP address, Network Interface and Subnet Mask.
  7. To setup SSL select the Require SSL/TLS checkbox.
    1. In the File containing trusted Certificate Authority X.509 certificate field, enter the location of your CA certificate.
    2. In the File containing this configuration's X.509 certificate field, browse and select the server certificate.
    3. In the Private key type password field, enter the new password.
    4. In the Private key password field, enter the new password..
  8. Click Save.
  9. In the Oceana Data Management utility, click Backup And Restore.
  10. In the navigation pane, click Backup And Restore.
  11. In the Select/create file to backup to field, click Browse.
  12. On the Save As screen, do the following:
    1. Select the location where you want to save the backup file.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      Do not save the backup file to the software, journal, or multimedia drive.
    2. Specify a name for the backup file. When naming the file, use English or numeric characters only.
    3. Click Save.
  13. Click Backup Database.
    STEP RESULT:
    The utility displays the Backup complete! message when the backup process is complete.
  14. Verify that the backup file is created at the specified location.
