Enabling a mailbox

About this task

After adding a mailbox and testing the connection, enable the mailbox to route email interactions from your mail server to the contact center. You can enable only the mailboxes with the Connected status. You can view the mailbox status from the Email Mailboxes page.

You can also disable an enabled mailbox before updating its configuration or converting an added mailbox to a Microsoft 365 mailbox.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that the mailbox status is Connected. If the mailbox status is not Connected, you must update the mailbox configuration and test the connection.

  • To enable a Microsoft 365 mailbox, you must sign in to the mailbox first.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation tree, click Channels > Email.
  2. On the Email Mailboxes page, enable the Status switch.
  3. In the confirmation dialog box, click Enable.

    You can see the Success status for incoming and outgoing emails next to the mailbox name.
