AAR Digit Analysis Table and ARS Digit Analysis Table

Last Updated : Aug 21, 2014 |

Communication Manager compares dialed numbers with the value of the Dialed Strings field and determines the route pattern for the dialed number.

To change the value of the fields on the AAR Digit Analysis Table screen, use the following command:

change aar analysis n, where n is the digit string.

To change the value of the fields on the ARS Digit Analysis Table screen, use the following command:

change ars analysis n, where n is the digit string.

ANI Reqd

Use this field to specify whether the R2-MFC and the Russian MF ANI calls require Automatic Number Identification (ANI).

The system displays the ANI Reqd field only if you disable the Request Incoming ANI (non-AAR/ARS) field on the Multifrequency-Signaling-Related Parameters screen.

Valid entry

Usage

n

The R2-MFC or Russian MF ANI calls do not require ANI. The default value is n.

y

The R2-MFC or Russian MF ANI calls require ANI.

r

The call on the Russian Shuttle trunk or the Russian Rotary trunk drops if the ANI request fails.

The system displays this option only if you enable the Allow ANI Restriction on AAR/ARS field on the Feature-related system parameters screen.

Call Type (AAR only)

Use this field to enter the call type associated with each dialed string.

Valid entry

Usage

aar

Use this option for regular Automatic Alternate Routing (AAR) calls.

intl

Use this option if the Route index contains public network ISDN trunks that require international type of number encoding.

pubu

Use this option if the Route index contains public network ISDN trunks that require unknown type of number encoding.

lev0–lev2

Use this option for ISDN Private Numbering Plan (PNP) number formats.

unku

Use this option to set up an Implicit numbering plan. Users can use the plan to dial an extension without using an Automatic Route Selection (ARS) or AAR access code.

Dialed String

Communication Manager matches the dialed numbers with the entry in the Dialed String field that most closely matches the dialed number. You can enter up to 18 digits that the call-processing server analyzes. You can also enter the wildcard characters, x and X.

Location

This field displays the location of the telephone that is used to dial the number. For more information about assigning a location and for a list of features that use the location, see Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Feature Description and Implementation.

Valid entry

Usage

1 to 250 or 1 to 2000

If there are matching entries in the location of the telephone, the system displays the matched entry.

all

If there are no matching entries in the location of the telephone, the system displays all.

Max

Use this field to specify the maximum number of user-dialed digits that the system must collect to match the dialed string.

Min

Use this field to specify the minimum number of user-dialed digits that the system must collect to match the dialed string.

Node Number

Use this field to specify a destination node number when the system uses node number routing or Distributed Communication System (DCS).

Valid entry

Usage

blank

Use this option if you do not want to enter the destination node number.

1 to 999

Use this option to enter the destination node number.

Percent Full

This field displays the percentage of system memory resources used for the AAR and the ARS digit analysis. For more information about the system memory resources, see Avaya Aura® Communication Manager System Capacities Table.

Route Pattern

Use this field to specify the route number that Communication Manager must use for the dialed string.

Valid entry

Usage

p1 to p2000

To enter a route index number.

digits

To enter a route pattern. For the maximum allowed entry, see Avaya Aura® Communication Manager System Capacities Table.

r1 to r32

To enter a Remote Home Numbering Plan Area (RHNPA) number if the dialed string requires RHNPA translations.
