Call Type Digit Analysis Table

Use this screen to specify how the system must modify telephone numbers when a user makes a call to an internal contact using the call log or a corporate directory.

To change the value of the fields on the Call Type Digit Analysis Table screen, run the following command:

change calltype analysis

Delete

Use this field to specify the number of digits that Communication Manager must delete from the starting of the dialed string. You can enter a value from 0 to 28.

Note:

The value in the Delete field must not exceed the value in the Min field.

Dialed String length (Min, Max)

Communication Manager compares digit strings of this length to the original digit string, looking for a match to complete analysis and routing.

Dialed String Match

Use this field to specify the string that Communication Manager must use to match the dialed number for analysis and routing. The string can be up to 18 characters long and can consist of:

  • Digits from 0 to 9

  • The plus sign (+)

  • The wildcard characters, x and X

Note:

The plus sign (+), if used, must be the first digit in the string.

Insert

Communication Manager inserts these digits into the left-hand side of the original digit string to complete analysis and routing.

Telephones dialing from this location use the entries in the Call Type Digit Analysis Table. If there are matching entries in the telephone’s location, those entries are used. If there are no matching entries in the telephone’s location, the Communication Manager tries the entries in location all.

Type

Use this field to specify the call type associated with the dialed string.

For Automatic Alternate Routing (AAR) calls.

ars

For Automatic Route Selection (ARS) calls.

ext

For calls with extensions in the dial plan analysis table.

udp

For calls with extensions in the uniform dial plan table.
