Button Type Customization Restriction

Use this screen to:

  • Prevent users from accessing the customized button labels.

  • Manage system allocation of the customized button labels.

To change the value of the fields on the Button Type Customization Restriction screen, run the following command:

Restricts the use of customized feature button labels. This is the default.

Users can customize labels for all buttons on their telephones without any restrictions.

Restrict Customization Of Labels For the Following Button Types

The button type restricted from being customized.

Note:

The abr-spchar and the abrv-dial button types require a special associated character.

  • abrv-dial

    An abbreviated dialing list type: e = enhanced, g = group, p = personal, and s = system

  • abr-spchar

    A ~-character in an abbreviated dialing digit string. ~, ~m, ~p, ~s, ~w, and ~W. For more information on digit strings, see Dial Code.

Available only when Restrict Customization of Button Types is enabled.
