ONE-X

It is used by Avaya one-X® Client Enablement Services.

You cannot enter any data for the ONE-X application types, but you can see this on the display command if it is active.

EMX

Ring extension

A station extension can have a maximum of four simultaneous ring extensions.

With Communication Manager R10.1.3, when you register simultaneous ring extensions on the Avaya Workplace Client, you can specify which extensions must simultaneously ring when a call is made to the primary station.

You cannot enter data for the EMX application type using Communication Manager. You must use the Avaya Workplace Client to enter data for the EMX application type. However, on Communication Manager, you can view the data for the EMX application type using the following commands: display off-pbx-telephone station-mapping, list off-pbx-telephone station-mapping.

CC

The country code associated with the extension. Accepts up to three digits. Multiple entries that use the same telephone number must also have the same country code.

Country code changes made to existing stations or XMOBILE entries are applied to all instances of the telephone number.

SAFE (Self-Administered Feature Access Code for EC500) must not be used with an extension that has an administered country code. Origination mapping can occur with or without a country code. Default is blank.

Configuration Set

Valid Entry

Usage

1 to 99

The Configuration Set number that contains the required call treatment options for the Extension to Cellular station.

The SCCAN application requires two different configuration sets selected for each station. The first set is the value for the WLAN followed by a slash. The second is the value for the cellular network.

blank

Enterprise Mobility User (EMU) and ONE-X application type display a blank entry.. The default setting is blank.

Dial Prefix

The dial prefix the system prepends to the off-switch telephone number before dialing the off-switch telephone. The system deletes the dial prefix when a user enters their cell phone number using the Self Administration Feature (SAFE) access code. The routing tables must be set properly so that the dial prefix 1 is not necessary for correct routing. Communication Manager inserts a plus (+) digit before initiating a call to a SIP endpoint or a cell phone.

  • asterisk (*) or hash (#) must be in the first digit position

  • 1 must be used if the telephone number is long-distance

  • 011 must be used if the telephone number is international

Dual Mode

The Dual Mode field provides functionality for dual mode wireless phones that operate both in the public cellular network using GSM or CDMA and in a wireless network using SIP. The Dual Mode field indicates which application is part of a dual-mode pair. The dual Mode pair determines the pair of channels that the wireless phone is using, one channel over GSM/CDMA and the other channel over SIP. The dual Mode pairing is required to transfer a call to the correct channel when the call is moving between GSM/CDMA and SIP networks.

Valid Entry

Usage

blank

The application is not part of a dual-mode pair.

DM1

The application belongs to a dual-mode pair. Applications of the same pair have the same value.

DM2

The application belongs to a dual-mode pair. Applications of the same pair have the same value.

DMX

Supported only for Private Fixed Mobile Convergence application for pairing with one-X application.

Note:

dm1 or dm2 can be assigned to any two of the Public Fixed Mobile Convergence (PBFMC), Private Fixed Mobile Convergence (PVFMC), and Service Provider Fixed-Mobile Convergence (SPFMC) applications. However, one of the applications must be PVFMC. The other application can be PBFMC or SPFMC.

Phone Number

The Phone Number field accepts:

  • The telephone number of the off-switch telephone.

  • The telephone number of an on-PBX extension for the one-X® application type.

The Phone Number field can be blank for:

  • the first EC500, CSP, or PBFMC telephones you administer

  • EC500, CSP, and PBFMC telephones that support self-administered Feature Access Code for EC500 (SAFE)

Station Extension

The number of the office telephone that is mapped to the cell telephone. Accepts up to sixteen digits. This number must be an administered extension. Default is blank.

Trunk Selection

The Trunk Selection field indicates the trunk group selection method used for the outgoing call to Session Manager only if the application field is set to ops. If the application field is set to any other value, for example EC500, then the selected trunk will not be Session Manager. The selected trunk will be some other destination, for example, to a cell phone in the PSTN. In the half-call model, indicates a different trunk group than the trunk group that eventually connects the call to the telephone network.

The valid options are:

  • AAR

  • ARS

  • TG1 to TG2000

  • RP1 to RP2000

Bridged Calls

Determines if bridged call appearances extend to the Extension to Cellular cell telephone.

Note:

For an Avaya SIP AST phone, this field must be set to none.

Valid Entry

Usage

termination

Users can use their Extension to Cellular cell phone to only receive calls from the associated office telephone. Users cannot use the cell phone to originate calls from the associated office telephone. Calls originating from the cell phone independent of the office phone are independent of Extension to Cellular and behave exactly as before enabling Extension to Cellular.

Note:

The on-PBX extensions that the ONE-X application type enables are in termination mapping mode only.

origination

Users can originate Extension to Cellular cell phone calls only from the associated office telephone. Users cannot use the cell phone to receive calls from the associated office telephone.

both

Users can originate Extension to Cellular cell phone calls from the associated office telephone, as well as receive calls from the associated office telephone.

none

Users cannot originate or receive calls from the office telephone with the cell phone. This is the default value.

Call Limit

Use this field to set the maximum number of calls that can be made simultaneously by using an application, such as Extension to Cellular (EC500) or Off-Premise Station (OPS), on a station. You can enter a value from 1 to 10. For example, if you set the Call Limit field for an EC500 application to 2 and the Call Limit field for an OPS application to 4, the station can have up to two EC500 calls and up to four OPS calls.

Different scenarios are as follows:

  • For SIP station type, the call limit is not administered using the OPS form. Instead, the call limit is automatically counted by the call appearance and bridge button administered on the Station screen. In this scenario, the Station screen is used for SIP station only.

  • For H.323 station type that has an associate SIP configuration, the call limit for OPS station is administered using the OPS form, which is independent of the button admin on the Station screen. The Station screen is used for H.323 configuration only. For SIP configuration, administration is done using the OPS form.

  • For EC500, the call limit is administered using the OPS form for both SIP and H.323 stations.

Calls Allowed

Identifies the call filter type for an Extension to Cellular station. Determines the type of calls to the office telephone a user can receive on an Extension to Cellular cell telephone.

With Communication Manager R10.1.3, you can view the EMX simultaneous ring extensions mapped to the primary station.

Valid Entry

Usage

all

The cell telephone receives internal and external calls.

The default value is all.

If the value is set to all for an EMX simultaneous ring extension, and if a call is made to the primary station, the ring extension rings with the primary station.

internal

The cell telephone receives only internal calls.

external

The cell telephone receives only external calls.

none

The cell telephone does not receive any calls to the associated office telephone.

If the value is set to none for EMX simultaneous rings for an extension, then that extension does not ring when a call is made to the primary station.

Location

Valid entry

Usage

1 to 2000

(Depending on your server configuration, see Avaya Aura®Communication Manager System Capacities Table.) The location value for each administered OPS, PBFMC, SPFMC or PVFMC application. Typically, set this to the same location number being used by the desk set. For more information on location, see Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Feature Description.

blank

Trunk location is used for the outgoing calls from Off-PBX endpoints and location of station is used for incoming calls to Off-PBX endpoints. Blank is the default.

Mapping Mode

The mode of operation for the Extension to Cellular cell phone. These modes control the degree of integration between the cell phone and the office telephone. The modes are valid for Extension to Cellular calls only. For each office telephone, only one cell phone can be assigned as the origination mode. A cell phone cannot be assigned as either the origination or both mode more than once.

Valid Entry
