Authorization Code — COR Mapping

Use this screen to administer an authorization code and the class of restriction (COR) number associated with the authorization code.

Security alert:

To maximize security, you must:

  • Administer authorization codes to the acceptable maximum length.

  • Create random authorization codes.

  • Change authorization codes at least quarterly.

  • Deactivate authorization codes immediately if a user leaves the company or changes assignments.

  • Assign authorization codes with the minimum level of calling permission.

To change the value of the fields on the Authorization Code — COR Mapping screen, use the following command:

change authorization-code n, where n is the authorization code.

AC

Use this field to administer an authorization code (AC). The AC can be any combination of numbers and can consist of 4 to 13 digits. To enhance the system security, you must administer the AC of 13 random digits.

COR

Use this field to assign a class of restriction (COR) number to the authorization code. You can enter a value from 0 to 995.

Number of Codes Administered

The number of authorization codes already administered. There is a maximum number of authorization codes depending on system configuration.
