IP PARAMETERS

Allow Bridge DM Answer

Use this field to enable the Bridge call answer as Direct Media feature. To enable this feature, set the SIP Endpoint Managed Transfer and Allow Bridge DM Answer fields to y.

The calling party can have direct media path with the bridge call appearance of the called party station if all the involved stations support the Enhanced SIP Signaling feature.

Direct IP-IP Audio Connections

Use this field to enable direct audio connections between IP endpoints. Direct audio connections save bandwidth resources and improve the sound quality of voice over IP transmissions.

Note:

This field has no impact on a SIP station (OPS) on shuffling. For SIP stations, this field is controlled by the "Direct IP-IP Audio Connections" field in the Signaling group form.

Synchronization over IP

Enables or disables the Clock Synchronization over IP (CSoIP) feature to provide IP sync to a group of members.

SDP Capability Negotiation for SRTP

The system displays SDP Capability Negotiation for SRTP when the Media Encryption Over IP field is set to y. Enables or disables SIP SRTP enhancements with Direct Media support in Communication Manager using Session Description Protocol (SDP) capability negotiation.

SIP Endpoint Managed Transfer

Use this field to enable the SIP Endpoint Managed Transfer feature. Before enabling the feature, you must ensure that the Network Call Redirection field is disabled for the SIP trunk group between Communication Manager and Session Manager.

Note:

The SIP Endpoint Managed Transfer field only controls the SIP transfer changes made in release 6.2. The field does not control some related Communication Manager SIP conference changes.

Expand ISDN Numbers to International for 1XCES

Enable this field to convert ISDN calling numbers into the full international format when notifying Avaya one-X® Client Enablement Services about a call. This conversion is necessary in countries with complex numbering plans so that users can return calls from their one-X Mobile call log.

If you enable this field, you must also configure the following:

  • The Local E.164 Country Code field on the Location Parameters form: To convert a number from national to the international format.

  • The City/Area column on the Locations form: To convert a number from local or subscriber format to the international format.

Do not convert the ISDN calling numbers to the full international format, when notifying an Avaya one-X® Client Enablement Services server about a call.

This is the default value.

CALL PICKUP

A pickup group is a collection, or list, of individual extensions that have permission to answer calls originally dialed towards a different member of the group.

Call Pickup Alerting

Enables or disables Call Pickup Alerting on a system-wide basis. Call Pickup Alerting provides pickup group members with a visual indication on the Call Pickup status lamp for calls eligible to be answered using Call Pickup.

Call Pickup for call to Coverage Answer Group

Use this field to enable or disable interaction between Coverage Answer Group and Call Pickup group. Same extension can be configured to be part of coverage answer-group and pickup group.

Call Pickup on Intercom Calls

System-wide users can attend or drop an intercom call using the Call Pickup or Directed Call Pickup features.

Directed Call Pickup

Activates or deactivates the use of Directed Call Pickup, where users can specify what ringing telephone they want to answer.

Enhanced Call Pickup Alerting

Keep Bridged Information on Multiline Displays During Calls

If this field is enabled, for Multiline Display sets (1603, 1608, 1616, 4610, 4620, 4620SIP, 4620SIPCC, 4622, 4630, 9620, 9630 and 9650), the system displays the incoming caller information for the duration of the call. The system clears the caller information on the display for the user who puts the call on hold but retains the information on the display for the other users on the bridge. For outgoing calls, if the user on the bridge puts the call on hold, the display for the other user on the bridge is populated with the caller information. The default is n.

Maximum Number of Digits for Directed Group Call Pickup

The maximum number of digits accepted for the pickup group number. The pickup group number is complete when it is followed by a # symbol. Default is 4.

PIN Checking for Private Calls

Enables or disables the PIN Checking for Private Calls feature that restricts users from making internal or external private calls by forcing them to enter a PIN code after dialing a PIN Feature Access Code (FAC).

Temporary Bridged Appearance on Call Pickup
