Adding CVLAN Links

Last Updated : Jan 10, 2022 |

About this task

CVLAN links are used by external and internal applications. For example, Avaya Interaction Center is an internal application that uses CVLAN links.

By default, the CVLAN service does not start on the AE Services server until you administer the first CVLAN link. After you administer the first CVLAN link, verify that the CVLAN service is running.

Procedure

  1. On the AE Services management console, go to AE Services > CVLAN > CVLAN Links.
  2. Click Add Link.
  3. In Signal, select a signal number.

The signal number for the CVLAN link and the CVLAN application must match.

Prior to CVLAN R9 and AE Services 3.0, the range of CVLAN links was 1 through 8 instead of 1 through 16. If you select 9 through 16, ensure that your application is not configured to use only the signals 1 through 8.

  4. Optional To designate the CVLAN link for an internal application, select Proprietary.

By default, the Proprietary check box is cleared.

  5. In Switch Connection, select a switch connection value.
  6. In the Switch CTI Link Number field, select the switch CTI link number administered on Communication Manager for this CVLAN link.
  7. In ASAI Link Version, select the highest ASAI link version that the CVLAN application can support.

CVLAN supports ASAI link versions 1 through 10.

    The default value is 4.

  8. Optional To designate the CVLAN service as an ASAI heartbeat server, select Heartbeat State.
  9. Click Apply Changes.
  10. On the Apply Changes to Link page, click Apply.
