Running an AIDE integrity check

Last Updated : Oct 05, 2021 |

About this task

AE Services runs an AIDE integrity check daily between 3 a.m to 4 a.m. During the integrity check, AIDE compares the actual files with their properties as recorded in the database. If AIDE detects any change to the database files, the software generates an alarm and creates a report file.

To check the database files, you can also run an integrity check manually.

Procedure

In the command prompt, run the following command: setAIDE scan.

AIDE displays the location of the report file that you can review when the integrity check is complete.

Note:

Unexpected file changes, additions, or deletions might indicate a system failure. Review the AIDE report and verify each identified file. If the change is unexpected, take corrective action.
