With Multiple Locations, you can define location numbers for use with Location Preference Distribution. The Multiple Locations feature was developed to display the local time on phones that are located in a different time zone from the connecting communication server. You can use the feature with Location Preference Distribution to match the location of agents and trunks.
When an agent logs in to the system, Communication Manager sends the location number that is associated with the agent login ID to Call Management System (CMS) for tracking and reporting purpose. Communication Manager also sends the location number that is associated with the trunk from where agents receive calls.
