Some Communication Manager capabilities depend on the license file available with the customers. For a successful functioning of Communication Manager capabilities, ensure that the following settings are in place:
Procedure
Log in to Communication Manager SAT as a customer super-user.
Execute the display system-parameters customer-options command.
On Page 5, ensure that Station and Trunk MSP? is set to y.
Execute the duplicate user-profile18 command.
On Page 1, perform the following:
Enter a new profile number. The profile number can range from 20 to 69.
Set Shell Access to y.
On Page 31, set station M to wm.
Save the user profile settings.
Exit Communication Manager SAT.
Open Communication Manager shell and perform the following to create a new user and assign password to the new user:
To create a new user, use the cmuseradd <type> [-C profile] <login name> command
where,
<type> is the super-user.
profile is the profile number created in Step 5.
<login name> is the user login name.
For example, cmuseradd super-user -C 20 iptuser.
To assign password to the new user, use the command cmpasswd <login name>
where, <login name> is the login name in step 9a. For example, cmpasswd iptuser.
