Running force initialize data synchronization

About this task

Initialization synchronization replaces or deletes all station data on System Manager. If you try to initialize synchronization using a Communication Manager with no data, an error message displays and the sychronization stops. This ensures that you do not accidentally delete the System Manager station data.

You can however, force the initialize synchronization.

Procedure

  1. On the System Manager web console, click Services > Inventory > Synchronization > Communication System.
  2. On the Synchronize CM Data and Configure Options page, select the Communication Manager system that you want to synchronize.
  3. Select Initialize data for selected devices.
  4. Select Force initialize data sync for the selected devices.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To perform the synchronization immediately, click Now.

    • To perform the synchronization at a specified time, click Schedule.
