Use this page to create a new log harvesting profile for harvesting log messages from the log files for one or more products. The files can reside on one or more servers.

A brief description of the profile. This is an optional field. |
Host Name |
The host name of the servers on which products are installed. If you do not see the hostname of CS 1000 when you create the profile, at the command prompt of CS 1000, run the following command: cd /opt/nortel/oam-logging

After typing a minimum of three characters, wait for three seconds to capture the final keyword and fetch the required results. |
Product |
The products for which you can harvest logs. |
Directories |
A list of directories that contain the log files for the selected product. |
Files |
The log files that you can harvest for the selected product. |
Filter Text |
The text, based on which, the system filters the log files present in the selected directory for harvesting. When you select the /a/b/c directory and type com in this field, the harvest operation for this profile harvests the log files in the directory /a/b/c. The log files contain com in the file name. The field does not support wild cards. |
