The application type for which you want to generate the report.

Name

The name of the element instance you choose to generate the report.

The Communication Manager system you select to generate the report.

The type of Communication Manager system.

Basic (List and Display)

Name

Description

Report Type

The report type. You can generate a List, Display, or Status report for the Communication Manager object.

Communication Manager Object

The Communication Manager object you select to generate the report.

Name

The name of the element instance you choose to generate the report.

Host

The Communication Manager system you select to generate the report.

Qualifier

The qualifier for the Communication Manager object you select to generate the report.

Report Type

The Communication Manager object you choose to generate the report.

Available Fields

The fields you want to generate as part of the report. The fields vary according to the Communication Manager object you choose.

Selected Fields

The fields you select from Available Fields. The report you generate displays the fields in Selected Fields.

Move selected columns to right

Moves selected fields to the right in the Selected Fields column.

Move selected columns to left

Moves selected fields to the left in the Available Fields column.

Move all columns to right

Moves all the fields to the right in the Selected Fields column.

Move all columns to left

Moves all the fields to the left in the Available Fields column.

Reset to default columns

Resets your selection. The Communication Manager system displays the default fields when you click Reset to default columns.

Move Up

Moves up the selected field by one position in the Selected Fields column.

Move Down

Moves down the selected field by one position in the Selected Fields column.

Report Parameters

Name

Description

Report Name

The name of the report. Type a name of your choice in the Report Name field.

Select file format

The formats of the report output are the following:

  • CSV

  • PDF

  • HTML

  • Other (.txt with delimiter)

Basic reports such as List, Display, and Status type support the following file formats:
  • List type report supports file formats such as CSV, PDF, HTML, and Other (.txt with delimiter).

    Note:

    List type reports support the given file formats, except for some in CSV format.

  • Display and status type report supports file formats PDF and HTML.

  • Detailed (Database) report supports file formats such as CSV, PDF, HTML, and Other (.txt with delimiter).

Select delimiter

The delimiter to apply while generating the report. The options are the following:

  • comma

  • semicolon

  • space

  • tab

Append to existing report

The data appended to the existing report.

Append date to Report File

The date appended to the report file.

Select destination location

The location to save the generated report. The options are:

  • Local (Path : /swlibrary/reports_data): The option to save the generated report to your local computer. By default, the path is /swlibrary/reports_data.

  • Remote Server: The option to save the generated report to a Remote server. Do one of the following:

    • Select the Remote Server from the field to store your reports.

    • Select the field to store the reports:

      • Name

      • IP

      • Type

      • Remote Server From

      • Default Server

  • Email: The option to enter one or more email addresses to send the report. To enter multiple email addresses, separate them by a semicolon.

Customize Report

The option to create a customized report. Click one of the following:

  • Customize Report Header: The option to choose the title of your choice.

  • Export Column Titles on First Row: The option to export the column titles of your report.

    If you select this option, the first page displays only the column headers that you select. Other pages display the default report headers.

Schedule Job

The scheduler options to schedule the report generation job. Click one of the following:

  • Now: To generate the report immediately.

  • Later: To generate the report at the scheduled time.

Note:
  • The Edit report always displays the default value for Schedule Job as Now.

The following are the example scenarios of Schedule Job:

  • Schedule the job to run daily at 9 AM for 5 occurrences.

    After 2 days, edit the report at 11 AM and set the Schedule Job value to Now. After the job report is edited, the start time changes to 11 AM automatically and the report job is scheduled to run daily at 11 AM for 5 occurrences.

  • Schedule the report to run daily at 9 AM with an end date October 6, 2025. Edit the report on October 7, 2025 at 11 AM and select the Schedule Job value to Now. Enable the Report job again to run daily at 11 AM with no end date. If you want to stop generating the report, disable or delete the report manually.

  • To generate new report, select Run Now in Report Generation page. A new job is generated and the job is disabled once the report is generated.
