AE Services High Availability requirements

When you configure high availability, consider the following:

  • AE Services does not duplicate the Linux users automatically. You must create Linux user accounts on the active and alternative servers.

  • The active and alternative AE Services servers must have the same encryption settings.

  • When an alternative AE Services becomes active during the failover, it requires an active server license. You must purchase the required number of the AE Services licenses and add them to the WebLM server that you use as a licensing server.

  • You cannot change the AE Services IP address or hostname when high availability is enabled. To change the hostname or IP address on either AE Services servers, you must first disable high availability.

  • You cannot change the AE Services Virtual IP address (VIP) when high availability is enabled. To change the VIP address on either AE Services servers, you must first disable high availability.
