The User Management database is a local Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) database on the AE Services server that contains all AE Services users. Unlike Linux users, AE Services users are authenticated by the User Management database. AE Services users cannot log in to the Linux system and have a limited access to the AE Services management console.
User Management is the default user database that AE Services uses for user authentication. If you use User Management as a database for user authentication, all AE Services management console administrators are authenticated by the User Management database.
The User Management database is the default authentication authority for TSAPI, JTAPI, and DMCC users.
In the User Management database, you can configure users as CTI users and provide them with access to the security database. You can use the User Management database to authorize users who are authenticated by any of the following methods:
