Certificates are valid only for a limited period of time. To ensure that you have no service interruptions, you must request a new certificate from your CA before the current server certificate expires. When you renew a certificate, you must replace the expired certificate with a new certificate. The new certificate contains the same public key as the expired certificate.

To renew the certificate, you must generate a new CSR, submit it to your CA, obtain a new certificate, and replace the old certificate with a new one on the AE Services server.
