User configuration options

The following table lists the options that you configure when adding a user or editing the user configuration. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Name

Description

User Id

The ID of the AE Services user.

The maximum number of characters is 32. You can type the following characters:

  • Lowercase characters a through z

  • Uppercase characters A through Z

  • Numbers 0 through 9

  • Dash (-)

  • Underscore (_)

Common Name

The common name for the AE Services user. Common name is the name that the user prefers to use socially.

Surname

The AE Services user last name.

User Password

The password assigned to the AE Services user.

A valid password must include a minimum of 8 characters, at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 alphanumeric, and 1 special character. The following characters are not allowed: pound (#), dollar ($), apostrophe (’), double quotes ("), backslash (\), space, and any ASCII control character.

Confirm Password

The field to confirm the password assigned to the AE Services user.

Admin Note

The field for administrative notes.

Avaya Role

User role that provides access to the requested operation.

The default value is None. You must use the default value for all users except the User Service administrator.

The userservice.useradmin option is reserved for the User Service administrator. Only the User Service administrator can manage users and reinitialize the User Management database.

Business Category

A description of the user business category.

Car License

The user car license number.

CM Home

The user CM home.

Css Home

The user CSS home.

CT User

The parameter indicating that the user is a member of the security database.

The options are:

  • Yes: Indicates that a user is a member of the security database and has CTI call control permissions.

  • No: Indicates that a user is not a member of the security database and does not have CTI call control permissions.

Users of the following APIs are CTI users: TSAPI, JTAPI, and DMCC with Call Control or Snapshot Services.

Department Number

The user department number.

Display Name

The user name used for small one-line displays.

Employee Number

The user employee identification number.

Employee Type

The user employee type.

Enterprise Handle

A unique alphanumeric name assigned to the user.

Given Name

The user first name.

Home Phone

The user home phone number.

Home Postal Address

The user home postal address.

Initials

The user initials.

Labeled URI

The user Uniform Resource Identifier (URI).

Mail

The user email address.

MM Home

The user MM home.

Mobile

The user mobile phone number.

Organization

The user organization name.

Pager

The user pager number.

Preferred Language

The user preferred language.

Room Number

The user office room number.

Telephone Number

The user work phone number.
