Log file overview

AE Services automatically generates log files to keep a record of all events within your application, such as file transfers, deletions, attempts to connect to other services, and network failures. Log files contain key information about your applications. You can use this information, for example, to troubleshoot an issue or view the status of your server.

AE Services generates the following log files:

Log file name

Description

Audit log files

To view administrative changes that you made using the AE Services management console.

Error log files

To view CRITICAL, WARNING, and FYI messages generated by Call Control services that you use.

Install log files

To ensure the success of an installation or upgrade or to troubleshoot issues.

Security log files

To access the following types of log files:

  • Client access log files: To view information about client activity.

  • Command log files: To view information about system activity and errors.

  • System reset log files: To view a record of when the AE Services server was started and stopped.

System log files

To view system activity. Only the security administrator and system administrator can access system log files.

User Management service

To view the User Management service activity and errors.
