Creating a new certificate signing request

About this task

To request a new certificate, generate a CSR for your AE Services server.

Procedure

  1. On the AE Services management console, go to Security > Certificate Management > Server Certificates.
  2. On the Server Certificates page, select the certificate to renew.
  3. Click Renew.
  4. On the Server Certificate Renew page, in Signature Algorithm, select the certificate signature algorithm.

    The default value is sha256.

  5. Optional To create a new private key, do the following:
    1. Select Overwrite Private Key.
    2. In the Certificate Key Parameters section, in Encryption Algorithm, select the encryption algorithm.

      The default value is 3DES.

    3. In Password, type a new password.
    4. In Re-enter Password, retype the password.
  6. Click Apply.

    Your browser displays the Server Certificate Renew Continue page. The Certificate Request PEM field contains the CSR for the certificate that you requested.

  7. Copy the CSR text to a text editor.

    When copying, ensure you do not include any extra spaces or lines.

  8. On the Server Certificate Renew Continue page, click Close.

    AE Services displays your request on the Pending Server Certificate Requests page.

Next Steps

Submit the new CSR to your CA to request a new certificate.
