Managing feature access permissions in the Web Client

Last Updated : Jul 29, 2024 |

About this task

You can view and manage access to CMS administration features. Read and Write access options are available for most features. However, only Write access is available for some features, such as Unix and Password. The Password permission is intended for administrative users who need to set passwords for other users. You must enable the Unix permission for users who need to access the Linux command line interface.

Procedure

  1. In the Web Client, navigate to Administration > User Permissions > Feature Access.

CMS Supervisor displays the feature permissions assigned to each user.

  2. Click Modify next to the user whose permissions you want to change.

CMS Supervisor displays the Modify Item window.

  3. Select the permissions you want to assign for each feature.
    • If you only want the user to view a feature, select Read.

    • If you want the user to perform administration or modification tasks, select Read and Write if both permissions are available.

    • For features where Read access is not available, select Write to provide access.

  4. Click OK to save your feature access changes.
