The following data items are displayed on the Data Storage Allocation page:
Splits/skills
Agents
Trunk groups
Trunks
Call work codes
Vectors
VDNs
You can set the following values for these data items:
Value |
Description |
# of Items |
Data storage is allocated for the specified number of items. This value is not applicable for the Agents item. When allocating a value, consider the expected growth. For example, 25 splits/skills currently exist, but you enter a value of 30 to account for future growth. A value of 30 indicates that storage space is allocated for 30 splits/skills. |
Days of Intrahour |
The number of days for which intrahour data is stored. If you enter a value of zero, intrahour data is discarded, which also means that no daily, weekly, or monthly data can be collected. When the specified data collection period elapses, the data is combined, archived, and appended into daily information. |
Days of Daily |
The number of days for which daily data is stored. If you enter a value of zero, daily data is discarded. When the specified data collection period elapses, the data is combined, archived, and appended into weekly information. |
Weeks of Weekly |
The number of weeks for which weekly data is stored. If you enter a value of zero, weekly data is discarded. When the specified data collection period elapses, the data is combined, archived, and appended into monthly information. |
Months of Monthly |
The number of months for which monthly data is stored. If you enter a value of zero, monthly data is discarded. When the specified period of time elapses, the data is deleted. |
You can also modify the following fields:
Name |
Description |
Total split/skill members, summed over all splits/skills |
The maximum number of agents or extensions across all splits/skills that are measured or logged in at any one time. This number should include agents or extensions that are members of multiple splits/skills. Each split/skill the agent belongs to counts as a split/skill member. This value represents the maximum agent/skill pairs (skill members) that are logged in. |
Number of agent login/logout records |
The number of agent login or logout records stored in the system. Each time an agent logs in, CMS creates a record. The subsequent logout of the agent also uses this same record. If the agent logs in again later, another login/logout record is created. The following equation demonstrates how this number is calculated: (Number of agents) x (Number of times each agent logs in each day) = Number of agent login/logout records If there are 200 agents and each agent logs in three times per day, using the equation above would result in 600 agent login/logout records for this field. When skills for an agent are changed, a new login/logout record is generated if the agent is currently logged in to the system. |
Number of agent trace records |
The number of agent trace records for the selected ACD. This number is not representative of all ACDs. |
Number of unmeasured trunk facilities |
The number of trunks not measured by CMS. Unmeasured trunk facilities are used for:
Internal calls (intraswitch) to a measured split or agent.
Internal calls to VDNs.
Calls made by agents to internal destinations or using a trunk group that is not measured.
Transfers and conferences until the transfer/conference is complete.
This number should be set high enough to handle the traffic expected over these unmeasured trunks, but cannot exceed the maximum number of trunks minus the number of measured trunks. The default value for this field is 300. |
Number of exception records |
The total number of exceptions stored for CMS. This total is for each type of exception, such as agents, splits/skills, VDNs, and so on. |
Number of call records |
The number of call records the system stores for the selected ACD. If the CMS Call History Interface application is installed, another computer can be used for storage and analysis of the call records. This field then represents the amount of buffer space set aside on the CMS server that is used to collect the call records prior to transmission to the other system. |
