Considerations for administering access to trunk group data

Last Updated : Aug 15, 2024 |

Consider the following when working with trunk group permissions:

  • Ensure that the users you want to manage have been added on the User Data page.

  • Users do not have trunk group access by default. You must define which trunk groups each user can access and then assign Read, Write, and Exception permissions as required.

  • Before you can assign trunk group permissions, the user must first have permissions for the ACD on which the trunk group resides. If you assign trunk group permissions for a user ID that does not have the appropriate ACD permissions, an error is displayed.

  • A user ID cannot be assigned the Write permission without also having the Read permission.

  • When the permissions definition for a user is added or modified, the permission changes do not take effect until the user logs out and logs in again.

  • The wildcard characters * and ? are not supported.

  • Tenant users can only be given permissions to the trunk groups that are available for their tenants. If the tenant does not have access to a trunk group, its tenant users cannot be given permissions for that trunk group. A tenant user cannot be assigned a higher permission level than the tenant. For example, if the tenant does not have Write access, then its tenant users cannot be given Write access.
