After creating custom menu items, you can assign access permissions for them. You can choose whether you want the user to only view the menu item or you can enable access.
Procedure
Navigate to Administration > User Permissions > Main Menu Addition Access.
Click Add Main Menu Addition Access to assign a custom menu item to a user.
In the User ID list, search for and select the user.
From the Addition list, select the custom menu item you want to assign.
Select the Access check box to grant access to the custom menu item.
If you clear this check box, the user can view the menu item in the CMS main menu, but they cannot do anything with it.
