Considerations for access permissions to custom menu items

Consider the following when using the Main Menu Addition Access feature to configure access to custom menu items:

  • Ensure that the users you want to manage have been added on the User Data page.

  • Before you can assign access to custom menu items, you must create the custom menu items. You can do this from System Setup > Main Menu Addition in the Web Client.

  • If the assigned Main Menu Addition Access permission for a user is disabled, they will not see the custom menu item in the CMS main menu.

  • When you change the access permissions for a user, those changes will not take effect until the user logs out and logs in again.
