Connect SIP servers to the Configuration Server to manage endpoints and calls in your network. To establish connection with the Avaya Aura® environment for calls over the AAAP link, configure a SIP server with the Avaya Aura® Session Manager connection details.
  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to AdministrationSystemSIP Servers.
  2. At the top-right corner of the SIP Servers screen, click the Add icon.
    STEP RESULT:
    The Configuration Server displays the SIP server configuration fields.
  3. On the Add SIP Servers screen, in Name, type the SIP server name.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    In this field, you can use alphabet, numbers, and characters such as "-" and "_" .
  4. In Adaptation, select the appropriate number adaptation for the SIP server.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You can select multiple adaptations.
  5. In Trunk Group, select the appropriate trunk group.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You can select one of the trunk groups configured on the Trunk Groups screen.
  6. In Transport Type, select one of the following:
    • TCP: To establish a connection between endpoints before transmitting data.
    • TLS: To provide end-to-end communication security over the network.
    • UDP: To establish a low-latency connection between endpoints.
  7. In Destination Port, enter the port number corresponding to the selected transport protocol.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You can type a value from 1 to 65,535.
    For example, you can type 5061 if you select TLS as your transport protocol. Port 5061 is the default port number for TLS.
  8. In Address, enter the IP address or FQDN of the SIP server.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The FQDN must be in the domain.example.com format.
  9. In Domain Override, enter the SIP server domain name in the domain.com format.
    STEP RESULT:
    The Configuration Server replaces the default domain with the specified domain when sending SIP messages to the SIP server.
  10. In Comments, type a description of the SIP server.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You can type a maximum of 50 Unicode characters.
  11. To enable verification of the SIP server status, select Probing Enabled.
    STEP RESULT:
    The contact center checks the SIP server status every 30 seconds.
  12. To allow endpoints outside of the contact center network to process calls, select Trusted.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    If you select Trusted, the agent button on the endpoint will not available.
  13. If you use the Session Border Controller server as a remote worker, leave Trusted blank.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    If you do not select Trusted, an agent can log in to the endpoint on an external network and handle contact center calls.
  14. To allow the SIP server to process calls, select Enabled.
  15. To enable verification of the TLS certificate, select Verify TLS certificate.
  16. In Certificate File, click Upload file and select the SIP server certificate file.
  17. In Private Key File, click Upload file and select the private key file for your SIP server certificate.
  18. In CA List File, click Upload file and select the file that contains the list of trusted CAs.
  19. At the top-right corner of the screen, click Commit.
    STEP RESULT:
    The Configuration Server saves the SIP server configuration and redirects you to the SIP Servers screen.
