This view shows a summary of the server and the main services it is providing. If accessing a primary server, the view includes details of all the servers in the network.

Server type

Description

Primary Server

A single server providing IP Office, Voicemail Pro, one-X® Portal for IP Office and various other services.

Secondary Server

You can optionally add a secondary server to increase the capacity and provide resilience for the services on the primary.

Expansion Server

A Server Edition network can include expansion systems. These provide support for local phones and trunks in other physical locations.

The expansion can be another Linux-based server, in which case it supports just IP extensions and trunks. It can also be an IP500 V2 system to add support for non-IP trunks and extensions.

Application Server

The IP Office Application Server is Linux-based server that supports the s. The Application Server supports the Voicemail Pro and one-X Portal for IP Office applications.

  • Within a Server Edition network, it can be used to provide one-X Portal for IP Office support for the primary or secondary server, reducing the processing load on that server.

  • It can be used to support a standalone IP500 V2 system, providing Voicemail Pro and one-X Portal for IP Office services for that system.

Unified Communication Module (UCM)

The UCM is an embedded server installed into an IP500 V2 system to provide Voicemail Pro and one-X Portal for IP Office services for that system.
