LDAP based call routing feature routes the SIP INVITE message from a SIP trunk in an enterprise network with multiple SIP call servers.
This feature works in the following sequence:
Queries the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server for user data.
Avaya SBC uses that user data to route incoming calls from a SIP trunk within the enterprise network.
On receiving SIP INVITE from SIP trunk, Avaya SBC initiates an LDAP query towards LDAP server.
On receiving the query response from LDAP server, Avaya SBC selects next hop based on the configured routing profiles.
The communication of Avaya SBC and LDAP server supports:
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
Management interface.
Ability to communicate with primary and alternate LDAP server. If the primary LDAP server is non-functional, then communication continues with the alternate server.
Caching of LDAP queries and responses.
LDAP version 3.
