Configuring call queue details

About this task

You can configure or edit the general details and settings of a call queue. Under general details, you can configure details such as extension number, group name, and company name. You can also configure settings such as regional settings, schedule, and address.

Procedure

  1. Click Phone System > Groups > Call Queues.
  2. Click the call queue to configure.
  3. Click the Call Queue Details drop-down menu.

    Avaya Cloud Office™ displays the General tab by default.

  4. In the Extension Number field, type the extension number for the call queue.
  5. In the Group Name field, type the name for the call queue.
  6. In the Company Name field, type the name of the company.
  7. Under Managers, click Edit to manage the list of managers and their access.

    Under Managers, Avaya Cloud Office™ displays the number of managers with full access.

  8. Click Change Call Queue PIN to change the PIN used for verifying your identity when accessing call queue voicemail from a phone.
  9. In the Call Queue PIN window, type the new PIN twice in the respective boxes and click Save.
  10. Select the Include Call Queue in Company Directory check box to add the call queue in company contacts.
  11. Under Record Group Name, click Edit, and in the Record Group Name window, do the following:
    1. From the Record by list, select the method to acquire the group name.
      The following two methods are available:
      • Avaya Cloud Office™ speech-to-text: You can spell out the group name phonetically.

      • Record group name: You can record the group name using a microphone or over a call. You can also upload a prerecorded audio file.

    2. Click Save.
  12. In the Contact Phone field, type the phone number.

    This phone number is used to verify your identity if required.

  13. Select the Publish in Company Directory check box to add this phone number to the company contacts.
  14. Under Status, click Enable or Disable to change the queue status.

    Under Status, the current status is displayed, and the other option is available for selection.

  15. Under SMS Recipient, click Edit and select an extension that sends SMSs from the call queue number.
  16. Click Save.
