Configuring meetings settings

About this task

Administrators can enable or disable meeting features for users depending on their requirements. These features are available under the following sections in Meeting Settings:

  • Security

  • Basic

  • Recordings and post-meeting materials

  • Email notifications

For example, to enable the Waiting Room feature for all users or specific users, you can select one of the following options under Security: Everyone; Anyone outside my company; or Anyone not signed in.

When you enable or disable features, users can still change these settings to their preference within their extension settings. You can lock these features to prevent users from changing these settings.

Procedure

  1. Click Meetings > Meetings Settings.
  2. Under Settings, enable or disable the following features:
    • Use end-to-end encryption for scheduled meetings

    • Require password for scheduled meetings

    • Only authenticated users can join

    • Enable waiting room for: Everyone, Anyone outside my company, or Anyone not signed in

    • Participants can only join after the host

    • Only host & moderators can share screen

    • Allow remote control during screen sharing

  3. Under Basic, enable or disable the following features:
    • Allow chat in meetings

    • Entry & exit tones

  4. Under Recordings and post-meeting materials, enable or disable the following features:
    • Allow meetings to be recorded

    • Automatically start recording when hosts or moderators join meetings

    • Prepare these meeting materials based on recordings: Transcripts, Summaries and keywords, Highlights, or Topics. You can enable or disable each of these meeting materials.

  5. Under Email Notifications, enable or disable the following features:
    • Send when recording is ready

    • Send when recording is deleted

    • Send when recording is shared

    • Send when meeting has ended

  6. Optional To lock any of the above features, click the corresponding Lock option.

    Alternatively, to remove a lock from a feature, click the corresponding Unlock option.
