Configuring emergency response location settings for a phone

About this task

Configure emergency response location settings for phones to direct first responders during an emergency.

Important:

Users cannot make outbound calls without a configured emergency response location.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin Portal homepage, click Phone System > Phones & Devices > User Phones.
  2. Select the phone to configure.
  3. Under the Emergency Response Location section, click Edit Location.
  4. On the Emergency Response Location window, you can do one of the following:
    • Select an organization-designated emergency location from the list.

    • Add a new emergency location.

  5. Click Done.
  6. Click Save.
